Long time no see blog-o-sphere

I must apologize for my long absence. Life can get pretty hectic. On a recent business trip to Nuremberg my colleague and I made a video of us singing on the subway, just for a fun thing to do. Now it's gone viral - or so people tell me. What do I know? I don't even have Facebook!

Anyway, people are asking for a video of me playing kamancha. If you have followed this blog you know I am very shy about making videos. But, here you go Aysel! I hope you enjoy it.

I decided to play the opening of Bayati-kird because I am reviewing all my old mughams at the moment. This is the first mugham I learned. The introduction or rəng is called Dəraməd. It has been a looooonnnngg time since I played this. I hope I have remembered it correctly!
