Kim, nə, hara + isə = indefinite objects, persons or places

The i in isə is usually dropped after a consonant or not pronounced after a vowel [pronounciation follows in square brackets]. They are declined as regular nouns, with the case endings coming before the isə. These three little words are very useful indeed!


Somebody, Anybody, Anyone:

Kimsə, kiminsə, kiməsə, kimiysə [kimisə], kimdəsə, kimdənsə

Kimsə danişir? Is someone speaking? Səni kimsə incidib? Has someone offended you?
Kiminsə kitabı burdadır. Someone's book is here. Kiminsə maşınını xarabdır. Someone's car is damaged.
Bu mesaq kiməsə verin. Give this message to someone. Sən kiməsə baxırsan? Are you watching someone?
Qonaqlıqa kimisə götür. Take someone to the party. Sən kimisə görürsən? Do you see someone?
Kimdəsə hələ yoxdur! Bizdəsə artıq var. It's not with anyone, but it is with us! (Common ad for stuff at shops.)
Sən kimdənsə məsləhəti götürə bilərsən? Will you be able to take advice from someone?
